Public notice for the recruitment of the head of administration of the INAF Telescopio Nazionale Galileo

The Telescopio Nazionale Galileo (TNG), a research structure of the Italian National Institute for Astrophysics (INAF), is starting an informal, non binding procedure for the recruitment of the Head of Administration, with duty location in Breña Baja, Island of La Palma, Canary, Spain.

With this notice people with adequate knowledge and qualification are invited to send their expression of interest for the position, including a motivation letter and CV. The appointment, after a trial period of six months, can be configured as a contract for a fixed position with the Fundación Galileo Galilei Fundación Canaria (FGG).

The duties of the Head of Administration include the ordinary and extraordinary administration as well as the accountancy of the TNG, both as a Spanish non-profit Foundation and as a research structure of INAF. The interested person should have a university degree related to administration and/or economics. Knowledge of the laws regarding public research institution and a good knowledge of the Italian, Spanish and English languages will be an advantage. A compelling condition will be the effective and constant presence in the working station of the FGG, as well as the availability to travel and collaborate with colleagues of other research institutes, in particular Italian and Spanish. The Head of the Administration will be appointed member of Structure Council according to TNG organization chart, working in direct contact with the Director in a mutually trusting collaboration.
