Computer engineer position open at FGG.
FGG is announcing an open position as a computer scientist which will join the Information Technology group.
This opening represents an opportunity for individuals with high-school or university level formation, who have a strong interest in working in astronomy related matters, willing to be involved in the scientific operations of a major telescope.

The main duties are related to the maintenance of the systems which run at the FGG and the TNG. Although the candidate will work in team, he/she should be able to work independently and must have:
- Good knowledge of GNU/Linux OS, Microsoft Windows and Mac OSX operating system
- Very good skills with shell scripting
- Knowledge of programming languages like python, java, javascript and C is a plus
- Knowledge of relational databases. NoSQL is a plus
- Good networking understanding
- Good communication skills
