TNG CalendarStars 2015

Artist and scientist, Leonardo da Vinci was aware of the power of human sight, symbolized by the eye, in discovering and understanding the nature of the universe.

We wanted to celebrate the great Italian master´s equal passion for science and art with our CalendarStars 2015, so we asked art museums to collaborate with our observatory. We dreamed to expose our vision of the universal beauty side by side with their masterpiece of human painting.
Out of many institution we contacted, six answered with enthusiasm to our request, and so we share with you the six exhibitions of science and art.

Our bi-monthly galleries combine what is seen through the eyes of people looking at famous paintings of all ages with images of the universe captured through the eye of our 4 meter telescope. It is the beauty of Nature that shines through both.
TNG is grateful to the museums and collections in Italy, which actively collaborated offering their rooms for our colored images from the distant space.
