New optical filters at TNG
The optical imagers of TNG, DOLORES and OIG, are now equipped with a new set of broad band filters with very high efficiency manufactured by Asahi Spectra Ltd. Their transmission curves are very similar to those used in the SDSS survey and are summarized in the figure below (blue curves) together with those of the UBVRI standard filters (red curves).
