SARG spectrograph retirement

After more than 12 years of activity, the visible spectrograph SARG came to end.

During these years the astronomical community has used the spectrograph mainly for the characterization of mass, orbital period and eccentricity of EXO planets, asteroseismology and other researches focused in high resolution spectroscopy.

The last important result of 2012, that can be considered like a good luck for the future of the planet search at the TNG, was the discovery of a the Planet around HD106515A.

A special thanks to the astronomers that in the last decade have put their energy in this instrument and produced so high level results.

goodbye SARG ! arrivederci !
