NICS - Amici Prism
The Amici dispersers consists of two low-dispersion (BaF2) and one
high-dispersion (IRG2) prisms arranged in the classical Amici configuration
which disperses the light without deviating the central wavelength.
The prisms are detached and anti-reflection coated.
The most remarkable feature of this system is its throughput:
88% average and 82% minumum transmission over the 0.9-2.4 µm spectral
range. The transmission curve, as measured with a PH lambda-900 spectrophotometer,
is also available here.
