Stellar Spectroscopy

Preset knowledge of spectral lines is rather largely uncomplete in the NIR range, where even very strong spectral lines are not yet identified.

A large series of stellar spectra has been obtained with GIANO and other high-resolution spectrographs to identify spectral lines useful for reliable radial velocity measurements.

Systematic spectroscopy of Hollow Catodhe Lamps has been obtained with GIANO to identify new spectral lines in stellar spectra.
