Should this be the skyline at an astronomical site?

The upper part of the TNG building is positioning to observe the first target on a starry night. Over the top, the last part of a meteor track. The comet NEOWISE, with its two tails, is rapidly setting flanked by the faint trails of artificial satellites and the very bright ones of the Starlink constellation.

The TNG staff expresses his concerns about this new and subtle form of light pollution of our skies, joining those of the whole astronomical community (see https://www.iau.org/public/themes/satellite-constellations/).

The use of the space around the Earth must preserve the possibility of continuing to probe the deep one to understand our role in the Universe.
